Sports

I hate the Yankees. I hate the Red Sox. I do not care about Roger Clemens, but this quote from a Bill Simmon's reader is funny: "This is historic ... who ever heard of a rat jumping ON a sinking ship?"

I am a Braves fan which means I have been tortured over the past 15 years more than any Cubs fan. Oh yeah, I do not like the Cubs either.

I wish I had the talent to write about sports for a living.

I'm really confused as to why the Rocket would join the TANKees when they have no shot at a ring this year. I'm sure the money is great, but if he thinks he's going to get a ring with that club he's delusional.

How about those Nationals though? With a record of 9 and 23 I'm waiting for a mass suicide at the Howard Johnson tonight in Milwaukee. The real question is - do you think they can go below .200?

This year it's the Mets all the way. You can't stop the Reyes-Beltran-Wright-Wagner-Glavine train.

Barring mass injuries to their pitching staff, I cannot forsee the Mets not winning it all. Minaya has put together a team of superstars, and Randolph has them playing like a team unlike the Yankees.

All Clemens must care about is cashing checks. I do not understand his actions whatsoever.

Do Washington and Baltimore still have teams?

Well, the Nationals are scheduled to take a beating from Prince Fielder and the Brewers tonight and tomorrow night to put them at 9 and 25. I really don't know what Acta is thinking or why people even care about the Nats. Being the worst team, with the worst offense, and worst farm system doesn't make for a bright future. Let's also not forget that their closer (Cordero) has blown 5 out of 8 saves.

The Orioles signed Steve Trachsel, that's all you need to know about the blO's. Why ANYONE would want that shitstain after what he did to the Mets last year is beyond me.

Even if Pedro and El Duque don't come back (or play more than 10 games) the Mets have a solid enough bullpen to take the NL pennant at the very least. Let's also not forget the have The Hammer (Billy Wagner) as their closer. Brady Sizemore and the Indians and Big Papi and the Red Sox are the only real worries the Mets have this year. Not even Nomar and the Dodgers can threaten the Mets.
