"Adam Smith's enormous authority resides, in the end, in the same property that we discover Marx: not in any ideology, but in an effort to see to the bottom of things." Robert L. Heilbroner commenting on An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations-- We are no Adam Smith, but we are putting forth "an effort to see to the bottom of things."

What color and what else are you considering?
That is certainly a big departure from the blazer.
man, don't buy a damn honda fit. I got to be blunt here... have you heard that new song by brad paisley about "I've still got a pair"? damn, are you gonna put some flowers in that thing like the beetles have?
could have tried to sond moe resonable here but chasoe not to. Just b/c it would be a good buy doesn't mean you should get it.
GGM
That sounds an aweful lot like protectionism is to me... real men buy american or something like that.
The Fit sucks. There a ton of better cars on the market similar to the Fit that totally beat its ass. I'm biased as I own one but the VW Rabbit (former Golf) kicks its ass in power, gas mileage and resale value. Have you looked at Scions by chance?
If I were you I'd look into getting a Volkswagen (best interest rates and financing for non-US cars) or a Volvo. American cars are shite, go with a European, you'll thank me later.
Full disclosure: I'm trading in my VW for a Volvo S60.
