"Adam Smith's enormous authority resides, in the end, in the same property that we discover Marx: not in any ideology, but in an effort to see to the bottom of things." Robert L. Heilbroner commenting on An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations--
We are no Adam Smith, but we are putting forth "an effort to see to the bottom of things."

Defensive Principle
This is for when I interview to be a defensive coordinator:
When playing defense a player can be responsible for one of three (maybe two) things:
I always liked the defensive principle - "Get the ball, by any means necessary."
ReplyDeleteIf the Bears get Colt Brennan or Andre Woodson I look for them to dominate the NFC.
I like your principle better.
ReplyDeleteI don't think much of Brennan, but we will see. I do like Woodson, and in the NFC, any team has a chance.
